Although no official release date has been announced, there is a possibility of it being 11/1/10. The reason for this is that according to Game Stop’s “big book of release dates” (not really what it is called), under the pc games release dates, Cataclysm had a release date. Of course, this is not official and this may be an estimate but hey, it is exiting to “know” something, especially for WoW players.

She's Back!

Back in classic wow or even BC, I was never able to run Onyxia's Lair but I'm glad that they are bringing her back. This was the first holiday that I was a high enough level to participate in last year when I started playing. I think that I was a little over level 30 on my lock because I remember that I had my mount. Anyway, this year is eexiting because I can go and kill Coren Direbrewand maybe loot a mount (gnome on a kodo ha). Sadly, My tauren shaman is only level 12 but hopefuly I will be able to get the brew of the month club. I picked up the first of three in the trilogy. I am almost halfway done with it and I found that it is really easy reading for someone who plays WoW because there is a lot of things that you can recall from the game. It is especially interesting for people who like the lore (like me). I really reccomend it for people who should spend less time on the computer playing mmo's.

Perfect world

Anyone who is involved in f2p mmo's will probably know about Perfect World. At first, I was hesitant to try this game but I went for it and I don't really have anything bad to say about it. The character customization in the game is the best I have seen in any mmo. You can change all of the aspects of the character's body and face. You can go so far as to changing the curve of the nose and the openness of the eyes. It comes with preset character designs for the people who are not into the looks as much as the game play itself. There are three playable races: the untamed, winged elves and of course, the humans. Each race has two playable classes that can be played by each gender, except for the untamed. The male untamed can only be barbarians and the females are restricted to being venomancers. When you go on as your character for the first time you are positioned near your first quest giver. There is a tips function that teaches new players the game without being annoying. After my first quest as a human, I am sent to the main human city. Something interesting about this game it the ability to leap higher than in any game that I have played. This is probably done to make the elves seem like they don't have a huge advantage over other players with their ability to fly from level one (opposed to level 30 for the other races). The map is one continuous world compared to zones in other games. There are however, territories that different fractions can take control of. This game is very well put together and thought out with features that you might not find in other f2p mmo's and it is worth a shot if you are looking for something new.

The adventures of a tauren shaman

As you most likely know, the next WoW expansion, Cataclysm, has been announced. I would probably be playing now if it wasn't for my latency issuses concerning my crappy wireless router.

His name is Eltablo (that could be a song) on the US server, ursin.

I can fly!

The other day, I got my flying mount. Most of them don't even come close to the real thing. In Fact, the first mmorpg that I played was a WoW clone. It was called Fiesta. I remember the first time I tried WoW I called up my friends that played this mmo and I said "you have to try this, it is like fiesta but better". It would have been more accurate to say "Fiesta is a worse version of this."

Anyway, the point is that I have tried some mmo's including WoW clones and I came to the conclusion that the best free to play mmo (that I have tried) is Runes of Magic. This game has only a human race but it allows you to deeply customize your character from the width of your hips to the size of your breasts (if you are a girl). The whole questing and battle style is like wow but it has some other cool features to it. You get a mount as soon as you start the game but you only have it for a little while. you can rent mounts by every 2 hours or every 15 minuets. Since it is a F2P, they have an item shop where you can spend irl money to buy in game items including permanent mounts. There are farming systems and jobs you can learn but one thing that they have in ROM that is mot in WoW is the ability to own a house. You can get furniture to make it look pretty and also get crafting tables to give you an advantage in your professions. Although WoW is still my main game, I play this to take a break from it.

More Northrend

So I quested a little more in Northrend. Last night, I was a part of a UK guild run (two 80's running two 70's if that is considered a run). I don't know if I pay attention to detail too muck but I noticed that the northrend portals into instances are a lot different than Azeroth and outland. When I went to start a quest I noticed something terribly wrong. I went to kill something and after the guy was dead I realized my voidwalker that I use as a tank had less health than me! This prompted me to go online and look for some good gear that I could use. I went into lfg for UK and Nexus (kinda pushing it) but was invited into a group for AN. They must have been really desperate because I was the lowest level there. It was a good run but I didn't get any good loot. Later on, I looked for another group but had no luck. Maybe tomorrow...

Northrend Adventures

Today, I became level 68, the level you need to be to start training in Northrend. The nice folks down at wow twitter said that the Borean Tundra had more quests but I went to the Howling Fjord and started to quest there instead. Being there made me remember that my guild was running UK tomorrow so I signed up. I was at the right level, of course. After that, I headed over to the Borean Tundra and did some stuff there. It seems like some of the level 70 quests I was doing were easier than the ones I was doing in Shadowmoon Valley. I guess I like the atmosphere better. It doesn't seem so evil (at least for now). My guild needed someone for BF so I went and leveled again in there (I was rested a few levels because I didn't play for about a month). I don't know why people say BC was better than WOTLK. I think I like WOTLK better because I kinda play WC3 but who knows...

Stupid Healers

As a Warlock, it is my job to put a soulstone on a healer during an instance. The healer also has a job, to know how to use it. You're probably thinking "it can't be that hard to use a soulstone" but for somee, it can be a very difficult challenge. The reason a warlock does this is so if the group wipes, the healer can rez and then rez everyone else. Sometimes when the healer dies, they use the stone right away and end up dying again. Something that gets me even more upset is when they don't even use it and release their spirit to a graveyard. They usually say "oops I forgot" but how can you forget when it is right in front of you saying "Would you like to use this soulstone!!!" It is hard to be a warlock...

Connection Issues

Recently, we got some stuff done with our internet. It is exactly what it sounds like, Twitter about WoW. Basically, people talk about what they are doing in WoW versus their real lives as they do in regular twitter. It is not the most popular thing. I like that when you make an account it automatically gives you followers. One thing that sucks is that an addon for this would breat Blizzards terms and conditions so you have to keep your browser open. It is a cool thing to try if you play wow. Follow me!

n00bishness

I started playing WoW about a year ago, just when my friend started. My first toon was a night elf druid and he was a night elf hunter. I remember grinding to level 3 because I didn't know what a quest was. Plus, I didn't know how to use spells so I just used the n00b staff to hack away at those boars. My friend and I both had our laptops and in the corner of his screen, the armor durability guy was there. At the time, we thought he gained a new hunter ability. He tried to click on it and we couldn't figure out why it didn't work. I think I finnaly learned what a quest was. Now, I was level 15 and someone was helping me with a druid quest. They told me I needed ro respec my talents and I thought "what are talents". I think we all do some pretty dumb things when we start out. This character is now level 17 but he has no money so I don't play him. Plus, Nolard is a crappy name.

Death Knights -- The Easy way to go onto a new realm

This is my First official post. Enjoy!

As you probably know, once you get to level 55 you can make a death knight. In my opinion, they are op and they take up too much space, but that doesn't stop me from making one. With the addition of death knights, it makes it a whole lot easier to start a character on a new realm if you needed a change from your current fraction or you have friends on another realm. Rather than start a regular class and work your way up, why not just make a DK, fly around on a mount and shoot stuff from the sky, and end up with a geared level 58 Death knight. I used to hate this idea because I was the one who was being killed but now that I am the one who is killing. I know, this is kinda random but I just need to vent. This why I made this blog OKAY!

PJ

Welcome to my Blog

Hello, welcome to my WoW blog. I made this so i could blog about World of Warcraft without getting in the way of my technology blog at digimuta.com. I currently play a Gnome Warlock as my main but I recently made a Tauren DK that I like to play. Quite a change in size, I know. I will try to keep this blog as up-to-date as I possibly can.
